In my quest 'back to nature' I am constantly on the look out for natural products to use in daily life. One area that I am striving to ensure I use natural, organic & sustainable products is for my two boys. Their bodies and skin are so innocent and young and they should not be coming into contact with products which could intoxicate their body and produce harmful effects.

I found this baby balm in my local unwrapped shop and thought I would try it on my youngest son. What I really liked when I purchased this products was to be told that 10p from the sale of the baby balm goes to the Marine Conservation Society, the UK charity for the protection of our seas, shores and wildlife.

The balm is made from natural ingredients which work to keep skin soft and moisturised throughout the day.

This certified organic balm consists of the following four ingredients:

Coconut Oil melts easily into skin making it great for dry, itchy or sensitive skin. Shea Butter helps retain moisture and elasticity.

Apricot Kernel Oil is an all round emollient ideal for use on inflamed skin.

Jojoba is a natural compound most similar to human skin oil thus providing a balancing element to the balm formula.

Upon first use, the balm is easy to apply, smooths onto skin and begins nourishing it immediately and the bonus - any excess left on your fingers gently nourishes your skin too!

We have been using this balm over the past 3 weeks and it has not faulted us. Every application has been easy and mess free. Even when my youngest had a sore bum, the balm did not sting him and unlike other creams, stayed where we placed it. Our eldest son has also begun helping at nappy time and has also used the balm himself a couple of times (not that he needed it, but he likes it).

The balm is unscented which I like because it means there is no unnecessary added ingredients. The packaging is in a tin, which is perfect for recycling or upcycling.

I have been impressed with this balm so far and would recommend it for people to try. If you want to visit the Earth Conscious page click here. Their range extends beyond this balm and I am pleased to say their ingredients are certified organic and are vegan friendly. Happy bums = happy mums!
